Calculus is an advanced Grade 12 mathematics course in which students study topics such as limits; derivatives properties, functions, and applications, and; applications of antiderivatives. For IB students, the course contributes to the material tested on the IB math exam. This course aims to prepare students to take calculus at the university level.

In Mathematics 10 Academic, students will learn the essential topics of this course at a moderate pace and will develop strong problem-solving skills. These topics include measurement systems; surface area and volume; right angle trigonometry; exponents and radicals; polynomials; linear relations, functions, equations, and graphs; solving systems of equations, and; financial mathematics. By completing this course, students will be prepared to enroll in Mathematics 11 Academic in the following year.
Mathematics 10 Honours is intended to prepare students for the rigour of IB SL, HL, and Calculus courses in Grades 11 and 12. It is also strongly recommended for those planning to take Physics or Chemistry at the IB level. The contents of the course include number sets and interval notation; algebraic expansion and factorization; radicals; Pythagorean theorem; analytic geometry; congruency triangles and proofs; linear transformations; statistics; quadratics; trigonometry; algebra; functions and; exponents, all with a focus on sophisticated problem-solving techniques.
In Mathematics 11 Academic, students will learn the essential topics of this course at a moderate pace and will develop strong problem-solving skills. These topics include applications of rates; scale diagrams and factors; inductive and deductive reasoning; introduction to proof; cosine and sine laws; spatial reasoning; statistics; systems of linear inequalities and; quadratic functions. By completing this course, students will be prepared to enroll in Mathematics 12 Academic or Precalculus 11.
In Mathematics 12 Academic, students will learn the essential topics of this course at a moderate pace and will develop strong problem-solving skills. These topics include borrowing and investing money; set theory; logical reasoning; counting methods; probability, and; polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and sinusoidal functions.
In Precalculus 11, students will learn advanced mathematics techniques that will allow them to continue with courses in Precalculus and Calculus at the Grade 12 level. These topics include absolute value; radical expressions and equations; rational expressions and equations; angles in standard position; linear and quadratic equations and inequalities; sequences; and reciprocals of linear and quadratic functions. By completing this course, students will be prepared to enroll in Precalculus 12.
Precalculus 12 is an advanced mathematics course intended to prepare students who are pursuing university programs that require this course for admission. Topics of this course include transformations; radical, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions; trigonometry; function operations; permutations and combinations, and; binomial theorem. Students who complete this course may go on to take Calculus 12.
