King’s-Edgehill School, located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaq nation, was founded in 1788 and is recognized as Canada's first independent school.     About Our Opportunity

    Our school is proud to offer a welcoming and supportive boarding experience for students from around the world. As a Assistant Dorm Parent in Buckle House, you will serve as a key caregiver for a group of approximately 20 male students throughout the school year and play an essential role in creating a safe, positive, and inclusive residential community. This is a live‑in, on‑campus position that includes responsibilities related to student safety and wellbeing, weekly supervision, regular communication with parents, and the chaperoning of off‑campus outings and school events.

    We are seeking an energetic and dedicated full-time (1.0 FTE) Humanities Teacher to join our Senior School for the 2026/2027 school year! As a Sr. School Teacher, you will join an inclusive, collegial community committed to collaboration, innovation, and student-centered learning. Teaching will be heavily weighted toward Contemporary Canadian Studies (CCS), with additional course assignments to be determined. With small class sizes, you will build strong relationships, individualize instruction, and inspire students academically and personally. Beyond the classroom, you will actively engage in school life by supporting athletics, the arts, debate, and student activities.
