A Journey Through Europe

During March Break, a group of 22 KES students and four chaperones embarked on an exciting journey through Europe, exploring parts of England, France, and Spain. Their adventure began in London, where they visited iconic landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London. The group also spent time shopping in Westminster and admiring contemporary art at the Tate Modern Gallery.

After a quick train ride south, the group arrived in Paris. There, they marveled at the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, and the Arc de Triomphe. They also had the opportunity to view the Mona Lisa at the Louvre and enjoyed a guided tour at the Musée d'Orsay.

Next, the group traveled to Barcelona, where they explored some of Gaudí's most famous architectural works, including Park Güell, the Sagrada Familia, and Casa Milà. Continuing their journey south, they passed through scenic orange orchards before reaching Valencia. In Valencia, they witnessed the vibrant Las Fallas festival and visited the Museo de Bellas Artes.

The group then ventured to the charming coastal town of Peñíscola, where they explored the Castillo de Peñíscola and enjoyed a quick lunch before heading north to Tarragona. In Tarragona, the group discovered a wealth of Roman ruins, including a colosseum, an amphitheater, a chariot circus, and a Romanesque church.

The magical trip concluded with some final shopping in Barcelona, saying goodbye, and then home to Canada.

A special thank you to our chaperones Ms. Karen Jones, Ms. Kyla Walsh, Mr. Si Duo Fan, and Ms. Sandy Stewart.
