Spotlight on Our Cast and Crew – Pride and Prejudice
Each newsletter, we will highlight a member of our talented cast and dedicated crew from our current Senior School production of Pride and Prejudice. Today, we’re excited to feature Molly Kozoriz '25, who takes on the role of our infamous female lead, Elizabeth Bennet, and Fedora Asoh '27, a new member of our stage crew bringing the production to life behind the scenes.
Meet Molly – Bringing Elizabeth Bennet to Life
Molly is a Grade 12 student originally from Guelph, Ontario and has been part of the KES community since Grade 10. For her, the arts provide a space for creative exploration and self-expression, where she feels most authentic. Performing on stage is not nerve-racking but exhilarating – it’s where she feels most confident. She shares that theatre has been a passion since childhood, sparked by acting classes at age nine, and it continues to be a driving force in her life. Molly encourages everyone to get involved in the arts at KES, whether they are seasoned performers or just starting out, as it’s a fantastic way to showcase talent and discover new creative passions. Be sure to catch her on stage – come see the show!
Meet Fedora – Behind the Scenes of the Stage Crew
Fedora is a Grade 10 student from Nigeria and is now in their second year at KES. Joining the stage crew for the Senior School play was a natural choice, as it’s a great way to develop time management and teamwork skills. The fast-paced environment of live performances has taught her how to stay calm and organized under pressure. She shares that being part of the behind-the-scenes magic is incredibly rewarding – seeing everything run smoothly and knowing they played a role in making it happen is what makes stage crew so special. Fedora highly recommends joining the stage crew, as it offers a unique chance to be part of something creative, build problem-solving skills, and even earn volunteer hours. She is especially looking forward to seeing the set come together and working as a team to ensure the show runs seamlessly.
