KES Choir Visits Dykeland Lodge

On Tuesday, December 10, the King's-Edgehill School choir visited Dykeland Lodge long-term care home to spread holiday cheer through a heartfelt performance of Christmas carols. The students' voices and harmonies lit up the room, bringing joy and festive spirit to the residents, whose smiles and gratitude made the experience very memorable. This performance opportunity provided a beautiful exchange of warmth and connection, as the students brightened the residents' day while gaining a deeper appreciation for the power of music to bring people together.

Through this experience, the students also learned about Dykeland's Christmas wish tree. Residents make Christmas wishes and hang them on the tree where visitors can take them, purchase the items for the resident, and deliver it right to that person! This inspired some of our own students to take on a wish in the spirit of giving.

Both the singers and the residents certainly felt the warmth and gratitude of the season during this visit. The choir will try to visit again next year!
