The First Coffee House of the Year

On Tuesday evening, the Arts Council hosted our first coffee house of the year. This welcoming event took place in the beautiful concert hall, where students from Grades 6-12 and faculty had the opportunity to perform for two hours. We encouraged all musicians and artists, from beginners to highly trained performers, to share their talents, and we were treated to a fabulous evening filled with diverse performances.

The program featured classical pieces on cello and piano, stunning vocal renditions from musicals, a delightful ukulele song, a puppet performance, and even a stand-up comedy act. The variety was remarkable, and the spirit and courage of the performers showcased how comfortable everyone felt sharing their authentic selves.

Not only were the performers outstanding, but the audience was equally impressive. Their heartfelt appreciation contributed to an evening of community and belonging, reminding us how art and music create both expression and unity.
