During our annual Remembrance Day assembly, King’s-Edgehill School featured the Corporal Franck Dupéré Legacy Memorial. The School has been the custodian, guardian and contributor of the memorial this past year. The memorial will travel across Canada for the next 100 years, each year at a new school. Each school chooses a soldier from their region who has died while serving Canada. KES has chosen Antigonish native Captain Nichola Goddard who was killed in Afghanistan in 2006. She will be commemorated with the blessing of her family by KES. Goddard was the first Canadian woman killed in combat. Click here to watch a video explaining the Memorial.
