The arts at King’s-Edgehill create an inclusive environment that embraces diversity—not only in who we are but also in our choices of what we pursue and how we express those choices. Creativity and imagination enable us to develop ideas, solve problems, and acquire essential life skills. Intelligence and creativity are overlapping skills, and through the arts, individuals build confidence, develop perspective, and discover their true nature.
This week we recognize Sofia Ning '25 as our artist of the week. Sofia is a talented leader and problem solver in the arts. She heads the Arts Council and has a lead in the Senior School musical, where she is dedicated to learning her parts and works hard to do so. In choir, she sings like a nightingale, often leading rehearsals and teaching vocal parts. She is always committed to helping where necessary, often jumping in at the last minute to volunteer or perform. Sofia took up the reins at the last minute, literally the day before to perform on Grandparents' Day. For those who attended the coffee house, Sofia emceed the evening and was instrumental in encouraging and applauding the performers. Very well done, Sofia, your dedication to the arts is hugely appreciated.
