Athletes of the Week

Athletes of the Week are chosen based on their exceptional athletic performance and sportsmanship. At KES, we prioritize positive sporting behavior, which is central to our athletic philosophy and aligns with our core school values of kindness, integrity, dignity, and respect. These student athletes also embody the seven True Sport principles: go for it, play fair, respect others, keep it fun, stay healthy, include everyone, and give back.

Senior Athletes of the Week

Christian Goulden '26, a member of the senior boys soccer team, made remarkable improvements throughout the season, ultimately earning the starting centre back position in our regional semi-finals. Way to go, Christian!

As one of our team captains, Chloe Moxam '25 gave it her all this season, at practices and in games. A talented soccer player, she showcased her skills every opportunity that she could and undoubtedly made everyone on the team try harder too. Great job, Chloe!

Junior Athletes of the Week

In a very competitive junior field at cross country regionals, Link Choo '29 ran a very strong race, finishing sixth overall in a race of over 140 runners. With this, Link qualified for provincials in Trenton. Link has consistently demonstrated a willingness to push himself in each practice. Whether an easy run or tough speed work, Link is motivated and eager to take on each day's practice. He is well-liked by his teammates and can always be found with a huge smile on his face!

Heather Lawton '28 has had an exceptional start to the season as a Grade 9 player on the Highlanders girls hockey team. She consistently puts her best foot forward, leading by example through her play and behavior. Despite being younger, she challenges older players every day in practice and pushes everyone to their best. Heather is always positive and picking up teammates. She has greatly exceeded expectations to start the season, and she has solidified herself as a force to be reckoned with for the Highlanders this year and in years to come.
