Highlanders Hockey Stars Shine at Atlantic Challenge Cup

Highlanders hockey forwards Alison MacLean '27 and Lydia Libis '28 traveled to Moncton this past weekend for the annual Atlantic Challenge Cup as members of Team Nova Scotia U16. MacLean and Libis helped the team secure the gold medal in a 4-3 overtime victory over PEI. MacLean was invaluable in all areas of the ice, scoring an insurance goal in Saturday’s win over Newfoundland. Libis led the tournament in goals, scoring five, including the overtime winner in the championship game.

Congratulations to both Alison and Lydia on this amazing accomplishment; we are very proud! Zack MacQueen, Program Coordinator and Head Coach – Highlanders Hockey, also brought home a gold medal over the weekend as assistant coach of Team Nova Scotia U16 at the QMJHL Cup.
