KES plays their best game of the season to end up tied 1-1 with Horton.
On the eve of the team's departure to California - KES played their very best game of the year to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Horton.
The game was played in Wolfville and from the opening whistle it was clear the KES squad was ready to play. The boys dominated possession for the first 20 minutes but they couldn't find that final play to get past the Horton keeper.
Horton began to earn more possession as the half went on and eventually took the lead off a seeminlgy innocuous play; however, KES was down 1-0 at the half.
The second half saw more of the same with excellent tackling, ball movement, and communication from KES. Kyle Yearwood played a wonderful ball through to Adrian Danquah who slotted home from 14 yards out to even the score at 1-1.
Although KES was disappointed to not take away full points they know how well they can play and are already looking forward to the next encounter!
The entire team played excellent today with special mention to Liam Hogan, Carson Ripoll, David Lee, and Adrian Danquah.
Big trip to Californai before our final league match against Horton on Oct. 19th.
