The Highland Games

The Junior School hosted the annual Highland Games during Thursday’s Spirit Day, gathering on Menzies Field. Mr. Patrick LePoidevin piped the clan onto the field, where everyone joined in “the fold” for various fun stations of Highland competitions. The tug of war was a big hit, followed by the caber toss, rugby skills, and rock throwing. The event concluded with the always-popular egg toss, as Mr. Kevin Lakes launched eggs into the waiting hands of the students. Some of the students had softer hands than others, with Jack Kielty '29 winning the egg toss.

The teachers wore their kilts, and we all felt like true Highlanders under the October sun. Bringing the entire Junior School together for these monthly events continues to build spirit and camaraderie within the clan.
