KES Hosts Successful Girls Varsity Volleyball Tournament

On Saturday, October 19, KES had the pleasure of hosting a varsity volleyball tournament featuring teams from Avon View High School, Northeast Kings Education Centre, and Central Kings Rural High School. It was an exciting opportunity for our senior girls varsity volleyball team to develop their skills and build stronger team chemistry. Having only played one league game prior to the tournament, the event offered valuable experience in learning court positioning and helping newer players become more familiar with the game.

A special shoutout goes to the team captains, Jessica Klein '25 and Lola Wamback '25, who set the tone throughout the tournament. Their leadership fostered a focused mindset, encouraging the team to dig deep and stay competitive. Returning and experienced players also showed great hustle, guiding newer teammates and helping them find their rhythm on the court.

Though the team placed fourth out of five, the girls should be proud of their hard work and dedication throughout the tournament. Their efforts helped build confidence and improve their abilities as they continue to grow as a team. Their coaches are excited to see great progress in such a short time. A big thank you to the teams who participated and to everyone who supported the event!
