Athletes of the Week are chosen based on their exceptional athletic performance and sportsmanship. At KES, we prioritize positive sporting behavior, which is central to our athletic philosophy and aligns with our core school values of kindness, integrity, dignity, and respect. These student athletes also embody the seven True Sport principles: go for it, play fair, respect others, keep it fun, stay healthy, include everyone, and give back.
Junior Athletes of the Week
Nico Torres Jean '28 is a pillar on the junior boys soccer team playing with finesse and maturity. While he is extremely talented with an extraordinary touch on the ball scoring easily, Nico also looks to set his teammates up to be successful by distributing the ball and putting them in scoring positions.
Lily Lloyd '28 has been a solid leader and captain of the junior girls soccer team since the start of the season. Despite battling a foot injury, she hasn't let it slow her down, earning the respect and admiration of her teammates, as they truly look up to her.
Senior Athletes of the Week
Jack Warren '26 was one of the standout performers on the Highlanders boys hockey team this past weekend in Vermont. Jack contributed with three goals and played a key role in the team's success on the penalty kill. Jack consistently plays the game the right way and always competes shift in and shift out.
Throughout the senior girls volleyball tournament we attended at NKEC, and in our games against tough opponents Forest Heights and Horton High, Lola Wamback '25 consistently performed at a high level. Her reliability on the court, combined with her supportive demeanour, makes her an indispensable team player. Her enthusiasm and passion shine through, enhancing not only her individual performance but also the overall spirit of the team.
