All Set for Spring Fling!

You are invited to attend our annual Spring Fling Concert on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 7:00 pm.

As we enter this bustling and exhilarating time of the year in the music room, I am thrilled to announce that our annual Spring Fling Concert is less than a month away. We are currently in the final stages of refining our set list and confirming the last essential performers for what promises to be a memorable evening.

This year’s concert is shaping up to be truly remarkable, featuring performances from both Junior and Senior School music classes, as well as captivating acts from our extra-curricular choir and jazz band. The palpable sense of accomplishment and community spirit is truly inspiring.

At this moment, the value of an arts education resonates deeply with me. Not only does it foster personal growth through diligent effort, but it also provides a profound sense of achievement and belonging, not to mention the sheer joy of making music together. The need for attentive listening in a non-verbal context fosters bonds that transcend mere words.

It’s a bittersweet moment for me, as these groups, in their current form, will never come together again. While many music students will continue their musical journey in September, the composition of each class will inevitably shift. A different mix of students can greatly alter the group's direction and focus.

Therefore, I warmly invite all of you to join us and witness the beautiful and inspiring growth that our students can experience through the arts. This concert is a celebration of the vibrant musical culture here at KES, and I am confident that you will thoroughly enjoy the evening.

We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday, May 16, at 7:00 pm, in the Fountain Performing Arts Centre here at King’s-Edgehill School.
